About HAFVNOR

Travel has a way of changing how we see the world, and sometimes how we see home.

HAFVNOR was born from years spent living abroad. The farther I travelled, the more I realised that the places I remembered weren’t necessarily the famous landmarks. They were the quiet restaurants tucked away on side streets, the conversations with locals, the coastal walks at sunset, and the moments that could never be found on a checklist

HAFVNOR is my way of sharing those experiences.

The name reflects where my journey began. HAFV is inspired by the old Swedish spelling of havet (“the sea”), while NOR represents the North — a tribute to my Scandinavian roots. Together, they reflect both a sense of place and a way of travelling: one inspired by the sea, shaped by the North, and guided by curiosity.

Rather than collecting destinations, HAFVNOR curates places with character. Every guide and story is created to help you look beyond the obvious and to slow down, explore with intention, and discover what makes a place truly memorable.
